Happy Sunday Funday to all my #sweatsisters 💦👯💗⁣ ⁣ Yesterday was #deathbykayla and today was #deathbykelsey {I honestly don’t know how I am a )flexing and b )smiling in this post workout pic.} Maybe tomorrow I’ll try a fierce or lifting workout so I can add #deathbychontel and #deathbysteph to my arsenal 🥵🥵⁣ ⁣ Some highlights of today’s KILLERRRRR pwrathome3.0 week 30 chest and tris workout:⁣ ⚡️Activation 1: tricep circles {okay this was just cruel after yesterday’s devilish yoga pushups} and half burpee ⁣ ⚡️Activation 2: drop push up {so. Many. Push. Ups. Today. Oh. My. God} and Russian Twist ⁣ 💪🏼Superset 1: Alternating Bench Press {20 lbs each} and Commandos ⁣ 💪🏼Superset 2: Chest Fly {15 lbs} and triceps extension {20 lbs}⁣ 🔥Circuit: this circuit was created by the devil himself. There’s no way my bff KWells would have actually come up with this torturous set of pop push ups {by the third set I was managing to do a whopping 7 Bc my arms were mother effing useless spaghetti noodles}, inchworm and push up {yep. That’s me. Saying a prayer before doing them and also legit whining to my husband about how my shoulders were going to rip apart}, and wide mountain climbers ⁣ ⁣ 🥵Burnouts: somehow, by the grace of god, I managed to do all three burnouts of tricep dips, x planks, and high knees {my husband even gave me props for my around the world trick. I did the full 60 seconds of high knees without stopping just by tricking my mind}⁣ ⁣ I see some serious recovery and foam rolling and massage gun usage in my future today. Let’s just hope I have the arm strength to lift my wine for today’s @panthers game 🏈💙🙏🏻🍷

I asked you guys to help me pick my workout this morning and running won. 😅 Mind you I haven’t gone for a run in months at this point, but I am a woman of my word and that is exactly what I did. To say that it was hard is putting it mildly. My sides were cramping, lungs were burning, but I did it. It’s like I’ve said a million in one times. You are stronger than you think 😁 . . Speaking of strong, tomorrow I am officially giving the BUILD program a try. Yes, I know it’s gym based, but I am never one to shy away from a challenge 😉 I am actually looking forward to it! Didn’t really calorie track yesterday but I hit my protein macro goal of 135g+, and probably was between 2000-2100 calories yesterday. Had two glasses of wine, small braum’s frozen yogurt, a healthy dinner of 4 oz tofu, 1/2 cup brown rice, and broccoli, and a slice of cheese pizza(fiancé decided to order that ) 🍷🍦🍕 And I bought a yard game for all of us to play! #pwrathome #pwrcommunity #pwr2020 #weekend

Guys, where’s my motivation at?? 😩 Maybe it’s knowing that I’ll spend another Sunday painting walls and cleaning up stuff but I am lacking motivation BIG TIME and AGAIN! First thing that took me forever was deciding to get dressed, then I struggled if I could do chest & triceps today of if I’d rather go running. It’s been TWO YEARS since I started on this journey 😱 I remember when I started exercising I was so self conscious at the gym - I would either run on the treadmill or go to group fitness classes because I was so lost amongst all the equipment 🙃 . . Now I feel a lot more confident! I’ve been using @sweat and tried out BBG, PWR, Fierce and now Build! It’s been great trying new styles of training and to feel like I belong at the gym just the same as anyone else. I’m stronger than I’ve ever been in my life, and I’m healing my relationship with food 💕 I absolutely love the role exercise has come to play in my life, and so grateful for all the inspiring women I’ve met along the way!!

We had such a fun and active day! Walter and I had a picnic brunch at the park with our friends (and their puppy! ). It was so nice to enjoy the weather and the company while still being safe in the pandemic. Later in the evening, we knocked out some PWR @ home week 7 #abs , which was KILLER as I focused on ensuring proper TVA engagement the whole time. My abs will be sore for awhile! Then, we got a few miles of #LISS in on a stroll through the neighborhood. All in all, such a fun, relaxing yet active day!

Another leg day slay! For me the weekends aren’t for resting I guess it’s usually for a leg workout. Do you enjoy leg days? So I’m 4 weeks into a deficit. Let me just say if you are ever going to try a #deficit definitely be patient. It is definitely not a overnight method or some easy experience you will see in 2 weeks. You have to stay consistent with it if you want to see results. I haven’t had a cheat day in 4 weeks but I can tell you I still eat chocolate, and jelly (of course if it fits into my #macros ) I’ll try and do a before and after at the end. I don’t have a coach but if you want to try it head over to @macrosinc website and work it out. But I know it’s working because my jeans aren’t tight and my stomach isn’t so bloated all the time. GYM TIME 🖤 Oh man, I missed the gym. I went in today thinking that I’d see how it goes and maybe just go in once a week.... HAHAHA. That backfired. I want to go every day. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 I still did a PWR at Home workout, just in the studio in case it was busy. For the most part, people were abiding by regulations, which was helpful to see. Still a lot to navigate and think through BUT today was good. Was good for my mental and physical health. So I’ll take it. ❤️

This mornings Saturday sweat session was LEGIT! 💦😳👊🏻 I did #PWR legs and I really pushed myself. I upped my weights and my legs were shaking at the end of that workout. I also had a little buddy who joined me, so it took a little longer than planned. But that’s ok! He wrote out and did his own “workout” while I was doing mine. Check out my stories to see his workout 💪🏻😉. Just a reminder that our kids are always watching us and absorbing everything we do and say. I love being able to set a positive example for my boys by showing them the importance of taking care of their bodies. Feeling full of energy this morning! Took a 45 minute walk this morning, moved the yard in 1.5 hours, did 30 minutes on the elliptical, and a 20 minute quick weight lifting session. [🇮🇹⬇️] I’m back after a much-needed break 💛 Thank you so so much for all the sweet messages you’ve sent me last week, they meant the world to me and they made me feel less alone. These past two weeks have been tough on me. My emotions have been on a rollercoaster of ups and downs and I have cried…A LOT. But it’s ok to let things out and give yourself the time to cope with whatever is upsetting you, big or small. I don’t deal well with stress AT. ALL. And I guess I had reached a point where my mind and body decided it was enough. I am feeling much better now and I will work on managing my stress levels! Many of you said to me that you were feeling the same… if it’s still the case, I am here to talk! 💛 YOU CAN 💛 2010- 2020 ... 10 YEARS!!! There is nothing that I have that makes me more capable to follow my heart than you. I say this often, because I hear countless times “Yeah, but you were made for that. You’re better at that. You have the body for that. You’re younger so you can do that.” I am 25 and I work my ass off. That’s true. However, there’s nothing special I did that you can’t do. I work hard. I make time for ME. I prioritize my health. I lead others. I inspire others. Most importantly, I let others inspire me. I surround myself with those who have goals. Not just health and fitness goals. Life goals, work goals, family goals, personal goals. You name it. I choose my attitude each day. I prioritize sleep, and healthy eating habits. I look at exercise not as a chore, but as a blessing that I am able to move my body the way I choose to. Do you notice a theme here? It’s my MINDSET ☀️ I choose the life I live and I accept what I can’t control. This is just the beginning of my journey, but I wish you could see all the changes on the inside. I used to be such a people pleaser and now I’m a Julie pleaser. Do it for you. Do it so you can live the life you want. No matter how old you are, no matter how “out of shape” you are. Do it. Find your strength and do it. Fun story I failed on the final rep of my bench press today and had that moment of panic when you realise the bar isn’t moving back up at all despite all the effort you’re putting in 😂 . . Truthfully it was a little scary because I didn’t have a spotter or a safety rail BUT it was satisfying to know I pushed myself literally to my limits 💪🏼 . . Finishing off week 11 of #buildbeginner a little wobbly but strong!

I haven’t been on the scale lately, but for some reason today I decided to get on it. 61 lbs gone....61! It’s insane to me. And I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished, but now I will put the scale back away. I haven’t been using it because I don’t think it matters to me as much anymore. I want to feel good. I want to feel strong. I want to feel healthy. I listen to my body way more now. Too much crap food = feeling like crap. I definitely still indulge, but I don’t OVER indulge like I used to. Our bodies are amazing and capable of so much. Treat it kindly!
