Telling myself to stick it where the sun dont shine! Every day I strive to be better then I was the day before, to never give up on myself no matter how discouraged I may feel! No one will EVER do for you what you can do for you! Only you can create your happiness and only you can make yourself who you want to be! I’m not gonna lie I’m my worst enemy, but in the end I will push myself bc I’m strong enough to know what I’m capable of! #nevergiveup #strongwomen #strongereveryday #strong #4weekspostpartum #postpartum #postpartumbody #postpartumjourney #postpartumfitness #postpartumweightloss #postpartumworkout #fitness #fitspo #fitspiration #motivation #weightlossjourney #weightloss #weightlosstransformation #weightlossmotivation #mompower #mominspiration #momoftwo #fitnessjourney #fitnessgoals #fitlife #goals #saunasuit #sauna #hotsuit #sweetsweat

Do you approach your warmup the same way you approach your training? If not you should. The proper core work can help with longevity in your sport, decrease the risk of injury and back pain and it can also help with stress incontinence. This is my typical core warmup before I squat or deadlift. •Deep diaphragmatic breathes to allow me to connect with my core •Deadbugs •Glute bridges •Modified Bird Dogs - my body is still healing from my C-section •Cat/Cow stretch •Quadruped squat rockbacks

“They grow up so fast, enjoy is while you can, don’t miss a moment.” If I had a quarter for every time I heard that piece of “advice” since I became a mom. It’s so true and sometimes a gut punch, conviction punch if you will haha. BUT while I understand their intent and they’re actually very right.. it genuinely makes me super sad inside when I get this advice lol so let me extend to you one of the best pieces of advice I’ve received as a mother (from my mama ). She said, Libby.. think about it this way, if you never grew up, we wouldn’t have the relationship and the conversations that we have now. It does go by fast but each stage is so special. She told me that if I hadn’t grown up she would’ve never been able to see me meet the love of my life, to have shopping dates, to go on vacations with one another and now Amara. If I hadn’t grown up we wouldn’t be the best friends that we are now. So that’s what I choose to think about and focus on... not that time flies but that each stage of life is beautiful if you allow it to be 🤍 I hope this advice blesses you as it blessed me! Hug your baby tight tonight (unless they’re already asleep ) and smile while you look forward to watching them through different stages of life.

Oh hey, IG friends 👋🏼 This girl is back from a much needed b r e a k 🧘🏼‍♀️ Last week was a tough one. Extra time spent in my office, virtual learning, working on building my spray tanning business, running for sports, and like 17683 other things. I felt like I was giving 50% to all areas of my life + that’s just not ok, especially not for my family. 🤍 I just needed to take a step back. This week I’m making lists of tasks that can be crossed off as I go + when I’m doing something I am all in with laser focus. 💯 Remember, we simply cannot pour from an empty cup. 💋

We all need a little pat on the back, high five, or fist bump from time to time. Make sure your partner and your kids are on board with you getting your fitness 'me time' in for the day. The world is a better place for all of us when mamma gets to free her mind and get a few endorphins pumping! You agree?

The next 3 days are going to be on core progressions. Tonight is on true deep ab strength of the deep core. . This first progression is not typically something that can be performed all at once until the end of your core rehab program. This the last movement is the end goal to be able to do without #doming or #coning for #diastasisrecti rehab. . This goes through various levels to start with from single leg movements to double leg movements in which the double leg movements make it much harder to engage and keep control with the deep core muscles. You should not have any back pain with these, if you do, you need to back up a level. . Always remember its not about just getting to the next level but perfecting the first level. Lay the foundation. . Seek a healthcare professional trained in Diastasis Recti treatment if you are unsure if you are doing this correctly. . #pregnancy #postpartum #postpartumfitness #newmoms #fitmommas #strongmoms #postnatalfitness #pelvichealth #core #abs #momfitness #concord #clt

Did you know that what you focus on can hinder your progress or help motivate you to move forward? Do you focus on what the scale says? This will be discouraging for many reasons. One in particular, is your body naturally fluctuates between 5-10ibs with water retention, inflammation or around that time of the month. Watching the scale consistently going up and down, will only bring discouraging feelings. Secondly, do you constantly point out all the things you dislike when you look into the mirror? I understand finding it difficult to appreciate your changing belly. I wasn’t invincible to getting stretch marks and can struggle with the way it looks at times. However, I challenge you to appreciate your body for what it has done and continues to do for your babies...I mean you grew another human being!!! How amazing is that?!? If you are constantly focusing on what you don’t have or what is not going well, you will lose sight of all the things that are going well! Let me know your thoughts!! Most importantly, I want you to feel supported in your role as a mom. Join my Facebook group with other moms just like you. ⬆️ Link in my bio ⬆️

{How to Manage Back and Pelvic Pain in Pregnancy Exercise ✨}⁣ ⁣ Sigh. We know. We have been where you are.⁣ ⁣ The last thing you want to do when you’re feeling achy and uncomfortable during pregnancy is to get up and move. 😩⁣ ⁣ But, PROMISE...⁣ ⁣ Exercise and physical activity can actually help calm the back and pelvic pain you might be experiencing in pregnancy. 🥳⁣ ⁣ And, we have 6 tips for you on how to have the best chances at that in today’s episode of the @tobirthandbeyondpodcast . ⁣ ⁣ As a sneak peek: ⁣ ⁣ ✅ 1/6: Reduce the load you are using. Take the weight or resistance down, even a smidge.⁣ ⁣ ✅ 2/6: Lower the actual volume of exercise that you are doing. Doing 15 reps? Take it to 10. Working out for 45 minutes? Let’s try 30. ⁣ ⁣ ✅ 3/6: Add relaxation and mobility exercises INTO the workout you are already doing. Fit it in now, when you’re already moving your bod. ⁣ ⁣ ✅ 4/6: Move in different positions. Instead of doing all standing exercises for 20 minutes, move through side lying, seated, kneeling, +++. ⁣ ⁣ ✅ 5/6: Use different weight modalities. Always using barbells? Try dumbbells, if you’re able to access them. ⁣ ⁣ ✅ 6/6: Play with the W.A.I.T. principle, a term that we offer our clients and patients so they know how to adjust on the fly during workouts if they are experiencing. ⁣ ⁣ One more time: movement can help you. 💯⁣ ⁣ You can keep the intensity of your exercise low and still use physical activity to calm your aches and pains. ⁣ ⁣ Listen in to Episode 141 of the To Birth and Beyond podcast on tobirthandbeyond.com (linked in our profile ) your Apple Podcast app, Stitcher or Spotify! ❤️❤️⁣

Win of the day: I woke up ten minutes earlier on my own for my morning routine. ⁣ ⁣ I got really lazy with my schedule during quarantine so the last two months I’ve been making rise earlier my main focus. I spend 10 minutes each in meditation, gratitude and scripture to align myself before the day begins. This is not natural for me. I’ve failed more days probably than not. But each day ya girl tries again because I know the importance. ⁣ ⁣ This year has been heavy to say the least. Ive done my best through quarantine to strengthen myself both mentally and physically and NOW I’m ready to grab hold of whatever the rest of this year has. Im tired of letting “the 2020 attitude” define an entire year of life for me. I decided to create a challenge to keep myself accountable and I want you to join me in it 🥰⁣ ⁣ My Last90Day Challenge is going to focus on strengthening our physical health through fitness and nutrition while healing our mental health through gratitude, meditation and self-care. These are the things that I’ve leaned on during the heaviness of this year and I want to bring my practices, tools and support to you. ⁣ ⁣ If you feel like you are ready to grab hold of the rest of this year, this is for you! This challenge will teach you how to bring forth your best version of you each day, no matter what obstacles life throws you. Its about deciding to grow from the challenges instead of letting them consume you. Its about finally deciding to commit to yourself first so that we can bring more of us to life. ⁣ ⁣ What do you say?! You in?!

💪 Up & at it for arm day 💪 • Here’s what I miss most from the good ole days of going to the gym. And no, it’s not the kids club that used to watch 👧 so I could get a serious workout in (though that might be a close second 🤷‍♀️ ) • It’s lifting heavy! I used to love my barbell classes and slipping into the weightlifting area at random times to lift without fighting for space. But ever since 😷 happened and we dropped our gym membership, I’ve been sticking to the 10 lb and under weights. • NO MORE MY FRIENDS. Ya girl is back at it!

Cardiovascular training, strength training, and flexibility are the core components of physical fitness. I found a way to fit 30 minutes a day into my schedule, and you can also! 🏃🏽‍♀️Cardiovascular training (Cardio ) gets your heart and lungs moving. Cardio burns calories, relieves stress, combats depression, builds muscle, and improves energy! It ALSO helps you sleep better! 💪🏼Strength training stresses your muscles, which build muscle mass. Building muscles makes your metabolism go faster (so you burn calories more quickly ). 🧍🏻‍♀️Flexibility training increases your range of motion and improves balance This may help prevent injuries and make it easier to be active as you get older. At the beginning of this pandemic I was feeling stressed, depressed, had zero energy and sleeping awful! I kept coming up with the excuse that I didn’t have time to workout 30 minutes a day. But then I decided I needed to make a change and started waking up 30 minutes earlier. You would think this would make you even more exhausted, but I learned once I started working out consistently I started to feel so much better and actually had more energy throughout the day. I have learned there are lots of ways to fit fitness in the day that don’t require special equipment or 2 hours of uninterrupted time. Think about your day, when do you have 15-30 minutes to improve fitness? What works for you? What activity would you like to do? We all have a little bit more time than we think we do. Make a plan for adding fitness in your life. Remember that making this change in your lifestyle is going to take time. It’s okay to miss a day every once in a while, life happens! But work hard to get back on track. Your muscles will start to adapt as you build activity. You’re going to feel great. I want to help you figure out the perfect program for you. My next bootcamp starts Monday and this is the perfect time to make that change you have been wanting to make. And the next part is you will have the support of others striving to meet their own goals, just like you! I would love to send you more info! Drop an emoji before and I will reach out!

This isn’t a post about weight loss. ⁣ ⁣ I see a lot of emphasis on the number on the scale with regards to health and fitness. And sure, the number can be a measure … but there are SO MANY ways that we can measure our progress when it comes to improving our health. ⁣ ⁣ There was weight loss that happened between these photos, and the time frame has been almost a decade in between the two. But let me tell you … the progress that I made with my health since that first photo was taken has been SO much more than a number. ⁣ ⁣ In taking care of my body, in moving, in drinking water, in improving my nutrition, in personally developing … My mental health has been able to heal. My relationship with food has gotten SO much better. I don’t see exercise as a punishment for what I ate. I don’t value my worth by a number on a scale. I like myself .. shit, I LOVE myself. ⁣ ⁣ And while you MAY see this photo and think, “Oh Amy … you are glorifying abs, or being ripped, or staying lean … no, THIS IS MY FUCKING BODY. This is what it does when I treat it well. This is what has happened over the past 9 years as I have HEALED so many aspects of me. ⁣ ⁣ I just know, that looking back .. that girl was sad, she was scared, she was depressed, she was mean to herself. She was not in a good place. And ya know, she was sick. Very sick. I will save that story for another day. ⁣ ⁣ And now, I am strong, I am capable. I refuse to apologize for sharing my workouts and my progress and how I look. I am not ashamed of that, but I’m also NOT TELLING ANYONE that this is the only picture of healthy. I am just encouraging you all to heal. To take care of your body … from the inside out. ⁣

CAN WE TALK ABOUT 1 REASON MOST PEOPLE CANT DROP WEIGHT ? HORMONES ..FREAKING HORMONES !!!!! Having a baby & then approaching 30? After having a baby, your HORMONES & thyroid can be all out of whack which makes it hard to drop weight. Most people are aware that HORMONES are all over the place after giving birth but most women don’t know how they usually go hypothyroid after a baby. It can last 6-12 months. Even if you haven’t had a baby, these are 2 EXTREMELY common things that women struggle with so I wanted to give you some tips on how to BALANCE your body back out. Going through my postpartum journey was a challenge because of lack of sleep. I wasn’t able to do any workouts because how drained I was. So instead of stressing on my workouts, I focused on my nutrition. That played a huge part in my #weightlossjourney During pregnancy, I gained 20 kgs & within 8 weeks after giving birth, I dropped 18 kgs. Oh & a YEAR LATER .. I STILL HAVE MAINTAINED IT. Here are some things I did to help balance my HOROMONES! ✅ Heathy fats ✅ Make sure you are getting enough sleep ✅ Limit processed sugar ✅ Avoid too much cardio ✅ Limit caffeine & alcohol Once again we aren’t doctors so we always recommend blood work, hearing what your doctor has to say instead of jumping on medication ASAP. It’s crazy to think how much has changed in a year... 𝐀 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝗼𝐮𝐭 𝗺𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐠𝐫𝗼𝐮𝐧𝐝: From July 2019-February 2020, I worked full time as an Executive Admin to a CEO all while sharing my love for these products, this company & the amazing opportunity that comes along with it on the side. For 7 months I worked 8-5pm, had this side job, all while being a wife and a mom to my two toddlers (2 & 4 at the time ). February of 2020 I was able to say goodbye 👋🏻 and quit my corporate job: it was the most freeing experience & one of the most courageous things I have ever done in my life. That day is a day I will never forget and proves how strong of a woman I am. 𝐈 𝐬𝐭𝗼𝗼𝐝 𝐮𝐩 𝐟𝗼𝐫 𝗺𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟. I stood up for what I believe in and I truly knew my worth was a hell of a lot more than sitting in an office punching the clock and planning out someone else’s day. Now, here I am sitting in my bed working on a Tuesday morning at 10am in my jammies...absolutely loving what I’m doing. And today is payday! Every Tuesday at 12pm CT is payday. Here I am at 32 years old, loving what I’m doing, helping people, leading my million dollar team all while earning an incredible residual income. <> No way, but I had 𝒹𝓇ℯ𝒶𝓂𝓈. I was motivated. I knew that I hated my job and I hated reporting to someone. I hated being micromanaged and I knew I was worth more. 𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐆𝗼𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝗼𝐫 𝗺𝐞. ✨ I knew my purpose. I took a chance on myself. I took a chance on these products that have drastically changed my health. I took a chance on an ℴ𝓅𝓅ℴ𝓇𝓉𝓊𝓃𝒾𝓉𝓎 that has forever changed my families life. I took a chance joining a community and have gained hundreds of new friendships. 𝐘𝗼𝐮 𝐝𝗼𝐧’𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝗼𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝗼 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐝𝗼? Coming from someone who’s had absolutely no Network Marketing experience, started with 200 followers on Instagram and absolutely no idea what she was doing...know that if you 𝒷ℯ𝓁𝒾ℯ𝓋ℯ 𝒾𝓉 you can achieve it. I thank god everyday I said yes 14 months ago. For anyone out there reading this and if you can relate..if you feel stuck..please know that you can make a change. 𝐘𝗼𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝗺𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝗼𝗺𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞. You are worth more sister. 🧡
