🔺My Current Training Split and Why🔺⁣ ⁣ So now that I am much leaner, and with my bicep tendon seemingly on the up end of things. It’s time to strategize and make a plan of attack to get thick and dense. I spoke to @jon_izzy and @hunterlabrada on their thoughts on a push/pull type split.⁣ ⁣ I never did it, never seen the need for it. But now I need to get strong and dense. This is solid because allows for more frequency as well. Will also be adding in some volume sets to make sure volumization of muscles is there as well.⁣ ⁣ I will run this for 5-6 weeks, than I will back off for 1-2 weeks and go into a higher volume approach really utilizing the Neufit machine. If all goes well, will make another plan of attack and push on through again. There are a lot of steps for developing courses but before you actually plan out your course in its entirety, you need to validate your offer. 🤔 ⠀ We all think our offers are rock solid and that our clients need them, but you need to know if they are ready to invest in your offer. Which is anywhere between 3-6 sets of 6-12 reps, is recommended. But it is more so increasing in the volume of your looking for mass gains. 💪🏼 2. ) Sometimes go for the lighter weight and higher reps. Making sure you’re keeping your elbows close to your side and shoulders stable. If you struggle to get a full rep, you should consider to go down in weight. Sneak Peak 😲 Ive kept it on the hush long enough. Ive helped train athletes when i was in college, i helped train models/actors when i was in NY/Miami, i helped train my fellow deputies when i was a Deputy Sheriff and i helped train soldiers when i was in the Army 💪🏾 2020 put things into perspective an most important thing in anyones life should be good health. With all my yrs of training ppl off an on i never had the credentials to follow. Im now proud to say that not only have i made a body transformation for myself but i graduate in 2 wks an will be officially a certified personal trainer and nutrition consultant. I currently weigh 200 lbs exactly as of last night 💪🏾 Lean Muscle. This is the Heaviest ive ever been in my life but ive never felt better💪🏾 Yrs ago in my early modeling yrs i was always 175lbs. About the last 3 yrs ive been right at 185lbs tryin to stay fit due to military injuries. But just like everything in life, hard is the most rewarding.⁣ ⁣ Learning to like it (in a love-hate way 🤷🏼‍♂️ ) will hugely benefit your fitness journey. Hopefully these convince you:⁣ ⁣ ✳️ Overall strength development 🏋🏼‍♂️- Heavier compound lifts like squats and deadlifts use multiple muscles for each repetition. Not just your legs and back, think of the arms gripping/squeezing the bar, your core stabilising the weight.. don’t be fooled they are all mostly still being worked. Specifically after upper body growth? This will give it that extra shove.⁣ ⁣ ✳️ Central Nervous System (CNS ) adaptation 🧠 - The types of lifts done on leg day shock your CNS. When your body finally recovers, your CNS will be able to provide power faster to complete all exercises more efficiently and strongly.⁣ ⁣ ✳️ Aids weight loss through increasing metabolism 📈 - Your leg muscles are the biggest in your body, which require more energy when worked. Therefore more kcals are burnt. These workouts are your best friend if you’re looking to lose weight.⁣ ⁣ ✳️ Body balance ⚖️ - An even body is fundamental to retain body functionality (which should be a key driver for exercise in the first place ), prevent injury as well as help the aesthetic. ⁣ ⁣ ✳️ Mental wins❗️ - If you can get through a dirty session & build your mental endurance through these kind of workouts, the intensity of your overall training and life outside the gym is your oyster. Plus if you’ve ever done leg day right, you know there’s no other feeling like it after 🙏.⁣ ⁣ Try and train them once a week min. but preferably twice - Greater muscle growth happens this way. Remember, it’s the smallest decisions that lead to big changes over time. ⁣ ⁣ Eating out can be a challenge for many. Sometimes we have no clue what to eat at certain places and it can lead to stress and a feeling of uneasiness. ⁣ ⁣ I believe being sensible is always going to be key. And I also like to make sure that whatever I choose to eat, will leave me feeling satisfied and full of energy. ⁣ ⁣ Anne and I went to this fancy little boutique cafe for brunch one morning. ⁣ ⁣ The protein options available all were higher in fat. So in order to keep my meal relatively balanced, I kept the carbs low and only chose to include half of a grapefruit instead of choosing to add bread or pastries that they had available. ⁣ ⁣ The meal was delicious and I felt great afterward. I posted my ice bath @deuce_gym in my stories this week and someone commented “looks relaxing” Ha ha. . I’m sure they were trying to be sarcastic, but it made me think....I do LOOK relaxed in the photo, but the ice bath is NOT inherently relaxing. . It is not comfortable or soothing or easy, but I am working on being relaxed in the moment. . I am on the trajectory towards relaxation, and that is one of the MANY benefits to doing this. . Practicing intention, focusing on where I am headed. In a moment of high stress I am resisting the temptation to freak out. I am resisting my immediate impulse. . The tool for doing this is breath, the ice is just a trigger. With practice, day to day life starts to feel less stressful, more relaxing. I can face more, take on more. Be more. . The world around us can stimulate us, but it cannot make us feel any certain way. So is this ice bath relaxing? Before every major lift you’ll find me here... . Staring out into space or closing my eyes and visualizing myself completing the lift. . Calming my mind, finding focus and clarity, and then executing the plan. . Visualization has become more and more of a practice for me as I have continued through my life journey. . I believe our minds possess the true power of what we are made of as humans. The capability to do anything we want as long as we are able to focus our minds and truly believe deep down in what we are doing. . It’s not something that’s easy. . Most of the time I still feel as though I’m staring at just the darkness of my eyelids. . I still take reps at this every day just like I do with my fitness to try and enhance my vision of what I want my life to be like. . I think of it as a challenge every day to try and get as clear of a picture of what I’m trying to accomplish. .
