In fact, meditation becomes even more valuable when the ideal circumstances for meditation crumble around us. David was also driven from his home, surrounded by enemies, and confronted with danger, but he would not surrender meditation. Heute ist 💕WORLD HEART DAY💕, dieser Tag steht ganz im Zeichen des Herzens. Genau genommen der Herzgesundheit. Ich möchte heute gerne eine kleine erlebte Geschichte dazu mit euch teilen. Als ich mich vor 20 Jahren als Heilpraktikerin selbstständig machte, bekam ich die Möglichkeit neben meiner Praxis in einem Krankenhaus zu hospitieren. Noch heute bin ich für diese Zeit unendlich dankbar. An einem Morgen bei der Visite auf der Intensivstation: Ein junger Mann Mitte 30 wurde mit einem Herzinfarkt eingeliefert. Er war in einem kritischen Zustand. Die Ärzte standen letztlich vor einem Rätsel, alle Untersuchungen, alle Werte waren in Ordnung. Keine Auffälligkeiten, im Gegenteil ein junger Mann, der sich eigentlich bester Gesundheit erfreuen könnte. Einer der Ärzte wandte sich zu mir um und meinte:,, Dieser Mann wäre wirklich ein Patient für Sie". Leider weiß ich nicht, was aus ihm geworden ist, da meine Hospitanz kurz darauf endete. Aber diese Erfahrung ist mir in Erinnerung geblieben und fiel mir heute Morgen wieder ein. Habt einen wundervollen Tag und achtet gut auf euch 💕 Foto: pixabay

“𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐃𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐝?” . Last week I posted a questions sticker asking my followers how they cope with the feeling of being overwhelmed. I was so anxious for upcoming my organic chemistry exam and while I didn’t do as well as I’d like, I’m comforted by the fact that I tried my absolute best. I was shocked at how many responses I got saying that you were feeling the same. Sometimes we feel like The Universe is singling us out in our suffering but if we dig a little deeper, we find that is not the case. After reading The Heart of the Buddha’s Teachings by @thichnhathanhsangha for my Meditation and Mindfulness course, I gained a little more insight on the impermanence of our suffering. Without spoiling too much of the book, the very first noble truth of life he detailed was suffering. We all suffer to some extent. It may sound pretty morbid and depressing but he put it beautifully. By recognizing suffering when it is present, it’s easier for us to appreciate and acknowledge emotions like joy, abundance, gratitude, love, etc. in the absence of suffering. Everyone goes through moments of suffering and when you start to believe that it is only happening to you, you’ve already lost the battle. Healing is always possible. Y’all sent me so many sweet messages of advice and love. The tips were so helpful so I thought I’d share them with anyone else who needs it: ✩ “Some quality essential oils are KEY.” ✩ “Put some music on and take a mental break.” ✩ “I try to imagine a really romanticized, happy future.” ✩ “Allow yourself to feel what you are feeling and then journal all your thoughts. Also, meditate!” ✩ “Nap, get a coffee from sbx, go shopping, or call a friend : )” ✩ “God never gives a burden you can’t bear.” ✩ “Writing it down, yoga, getting clarification, balance, telling someone else how I feel.” ✩ “I pray it makes me feel so relieved” ✩ “It’s ok to feel overwhelmed, try not to talk negatively about yourself and give yourself a break too.” ✩ “Take a bath, light some candles, and read a book.” ✩ “I remind myself that I’ll get to my destination and try my best but I’m not in a rush.”
