This post is a little bit different, let's talk about salmon 🐟the best way I found to get good amount of protein is by having foods like chicken and very lean pork but after a while it does get quite boring no matter how much you season it. My dinner tonight was only 385 calories but it had a huge 48.3 g of protein. I covered the salmon with a miso and light soy glaze, had spud lite, horta and broccolini. This dinner did take a little bit longer than normal about 45 minutes in fact. Although I did take longer for me to cook I really enjoyed it, I'm finding that I'm really enjoying the process of cooking and understanding nutrition fully. yes I don't have any qualification in nutrition or exercise science but I'm slowly learning by myself that I can plan out my days and meals accordingly. THE importance of meditation and Shloka/Mantra chanting is well known in adults,but do you all know its crucial for the kids too. There are various ways it benefits the kids.Some of them are as follows: 1.Concentration:Mantras have a soothing effect on the minds of children and help them to focus and concentrate. It also helps in memory development. 2.Reduces anger and stress: This has been proven in Science, how the vibrations and the rhythmic sound clams the mind instantly. As a personal anecdote, I could deal with my son 's anger and outbursts more calmly by reciting a verse from the Ram Strota.It used to calm both of us. 3.Immunity building & Chakra balance: The pressure on tongue,lips,vocal cord,palate stimulate the hypothalamus so that all organs can function efficiently.It releases endorphins which act as a pain reliever and boost metabolic process. And if you are thinking what is the point of mindless memorizing if Sanskrit shlokas without explaining the meaning to them.Think again. As per the Sadguru,Sanskrit language is learnt by rote.It does not matter whether you know the meaning or not,the sound is important. THE sound is important here,not the meaning.The sound creates a form...And every form reverberates in a certain way and creates a certain sound. This creation of powerful forms by uttering sounds in a certain arrangement is called the Had a Yoga,the yoga of sound. Of course once they grow ,you can teach and discuss the meanings too but don't let that make you wait it.Start early,sow the seeds early so that when they grow they will be interested in it. P.S: I have seen the power of Mantras myself very closely.When my husband was in I.C.U he used to listen to the Mantras and when he used to do that heart rate used to get slow, more calm closer to the 72 range and the SPO2 used to just rise to 98,99 showing that oxygen utiisation by the body is maximum. P.P.S:Whenever my kids get up ,I cant few shlokas as a way of Good Morning, here in this video ny son was chanting for the younger sister.He gets conscious with the camera so you may at times find him goofing. However it warmed up my heart that he wanted to do it with her. #sanskritshlok
