Day 12!! I get asked if I do machines or free weights and why I do cardio 7 days a week. The answer is...I do both but I take it easy on free weights bc I’m supposed to have back surgery but I’m stubborn. The machines guide me a little, take some pressure off my back butttt I do free weights also, I know my limits. As for cardio I feel better mentally so I do 5-10 miles of cardio a day. Mental health reasons only annnd I enjoy cardio 🤦🏼‍♀️ lol. That’s it. That’s all. Well, 20mins spin bike plus body weights and dumbbells (finally scored new 7kg Hex DB )..I'm fucking wrecked and fasted too! I can do this on crap sleep lol Whoop whoop 💪🚴‍♀️🏋️‍♀️ that felt awesome. But I'm weak as Shit. Once upon a time I could pump out push ups on my knuckles easily. Now I can barely do 10 knuckles on my knees☹☹😳😳. Gotta start somewhere right. Last week I dropped in to a Crossfit box in Great Falls, MT. The workout they had programmed for the day was Annie, which shockingly I had never done before. I was killing it until the last round of DU’s that for some reason I just could not get. I finished in 7:33, but felt I could do it faster. I tried again today and finished in 7:17. Mirror mirror on the door, whose got a new shape that's round and full🤬😞🙈 Yup that's right, I'm up and doing cardio on my bike because I need to make another big change and this is it. I'm not a morning person and 2:30am finally falling asleep times suck but I can't do too much about it. Stress levels are high and exercise was always my Zen 🙏💪 so this is my way back. I hate the way I look and feel in my body, it's my worst shape but...this Mind & body has been through (still going through ) hell so as I ride & type 🤣🤷‍♀️ I'm #grateful this body has held up through my entire life. Nearly died died a few times, multitude of injuries, fighting endometriosis, beat fibromyalgia and Hashimotos and it's still going. Maybe not as strong but I bloody will be! Glute/leg day was a success this morning 🙌🏾🥰🏋🏾‍♂️🍑 . Here’s some videos from today’s session. These are my FIRST gym videos so bare with me lol. Hope you guys enjoy! 💕 . My routine: (1 ) 5 mins of stretching. (2 ) 5-7 mins on the treadmill or HIIT to get my heart rate up and so that my preworkout can kick in. (3 ) glute activation with @gforcebands . October 2019 vs October 2020 〰️ I actually remained the size on the left until March of this year which is when I officially began my journey for the second time at one of the hardest times possible (well done george 😂 ). I was so happy to be collecting our beautiful new pup in north wales and of course I wanted some photos for memories sake but I literally hated all of them, every angle, every light. My mind was telling me ‘pfft, you know you’re horrendous when you can’t even find one photo you like’ and it was because I couldn’t stand myself, I hated myself, it’s sad really. I carried on smiling, I’m an expert at that now, as it was still a happy day for us, we’d travelled over 1000 miles in total across two trips for her, I didn’t want to let my own self-hatred ruin it but it still sat in the back of my mind the entire time. I’m glad we took the photos and I’m also glad the old george didn’t immediately delete them, because they’re priceless now. I’m so thankful that I made this lifestyle change and I’m learning to love myself again. I’ve never hated my heart and soul, only my appearance which was majorly affected by the state of my emotions and mind, it was all connected, often one big vicious circle really, one where you need to have the mind of Michael Schofield from Prison Break to escape from.
