One piece of equipment, full body workout 💪 I don’t hit the gym too often these days and when I do they tend to be smaller with little equipment, so finding effective workouts can be more challenging! If there’s a cable machine though i’m pretty sorted 💁🏻‍♀️ HAMMIES AND GLUTES - cable deadlifts! Super easy and effective! QUADS AND GLUTES - low cable squats - I like to add a mini row at the top just to incorporate a little upper body! UPPER BODY - Pull ups! I can’t do full ups anymore but these jump assisted eccentric pull ups are great for hitting the lats, traps, Bi’s and more! ABS - One of my fave exercise, the cable crunch! Double check your form on these as they can be tricky to get right, but a super effective move! . It’s pretty cool to see what you can accomplish when you get over the “fear/doubt” that’s in your own head 🙌🏼⁣ ⁣ If I had let it stay there, I never would be where I am now in my health journey. I would have given up, I would’ve been too scared to go to the gym, I would’ve just (accepted ) the sadness and guilt I felt when I looked in the mirror on how I neglected my well being. ⁣ ⁣ Take control. Do what you can with what you have. Find time..actually, MAKE time. Write out a plan, find an accountability partner/group, try out a new fitness class! ****** Tissues needed ****** My son Noah, age 7 suffers with anxiety and depression. Age 5 he turned to me and said "Mum, I just feel so sad. I wish I was dead". These were the haunting words no parent should ever hear. Before starting Crossfit his self confidence, self image and self worth were so low. He'd look sadly at his tummy and pick faults with himself in the mirror most days. Noah asked me to put him on a diet and said he wanted to go to the gym to loose weight. I desperately wanted to help him. On researching gym sessions for children I came across Crossfit. The difference in Noah's outlook after just one session was remarkable. He realised his size is not because he is unhealthy or lazy and that it infact it gave him more strength and power to lift weights. Week after week his confidence has soared, he wishes the week away to Fridays session and asked his trainer for 'Homework' to improve his fitness and stamina further. With Crossfit Noah's outlook has changed. Turning a negative into a positive. LET’S TALK ABOUT BODYIMAGE AND NUTRITION ‼️ aka one thing I wish I’d known when I started gymming. Long time no long ass caption, so here we gooo 😬 I get asked “what do you eat to stay lean” and “which exercises do ypu do to have abs” a lot. Truth of the matter is: I have never eaten or snacked as much as I do now and I have never trained less abs than I do now. So what is the secret? For me (and I’m saying this cause we’re not all the same ) the secret is 1 ) to lift as heavy as I can go and 2 ) to love my body and nourish it. When I started gymming I had a very different approach to all of this. I would primarily do cardio (3-4 times a week ) and only lift 3 sets of 10 reps at the gym. I only did upper body cause I felt that I trained my lower body enough by running. And I wasn’t eating enough. I was always restricting myself - “you can have candy once a week”. I was almost afraid of carbs, calories and fat. I think I could eat all of what I ate back then in one sitting/one meal now 😂 I was lean, but I was not strong. AND I had a higher fat percentage than I have now. Somewhere along the way I found that lifting heavy was waaay more fun, so I started eating more, cause I couldn’t lift heavy when I was undereating like I was. And then came my knee injury (a blessing in disguise ). I had to give up cardio for a long while and I depended only on weightlifting, which I fell in love with. As I switched to primarily strength training and doing less cardio per week a noticeable change happened - I WAS SO HUNGRY. ALL THE TIME. My body changed sososo much and I forgot all about thinking about what I ate. I just had to eat more and get stronger - so I did. In my opinion the most important thing is to learn to love your body - not because of how it looks but because of all the amazing things it does for you each and every day. Aesthetics are only a bonus ☝🏼

Get back focused and apply pressure to yourself!💪🏾✨ ⠀ I’ve always been into sports and fitness. Growing up I played various sports and was always active but I never had a personal fitness journey outside of that and ate WHATEVER I wanted. Hot Cheetos for breakfast, chips for lunch, candy ... I was the snack queen okay! ⠀ In 2018 when I was going through depression I started lifting weights to take the stress off and began my weight gain journey. I had always been really small, skinny and hated it. Building my body from 130 to 165 in about 6 months allowed me to have a new found respect for myself and I had to learn to love myself in a entirely different body. Talk about self love...to be honest it took me a while to get use to my new curves. ⠀ I’m excited about pushing my body to new heights this fourth quarter, getting cut cut and gaining more discipline. I’m showing y’all the journey too. COVID really has thrown me for a loop. I’m excited not only for a new body, but because I owe it to myself and the next level I’m entering into! ⠀ With the help of @blenderbottle I’m about to stay hydrated, and get my vitamins and supplements in! Cauliflower rice is a great substitute for rice if calories are a concern, and it can be a great way to add volume to your food… but I’m not completely giving up regular rice.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Diet culture seems to demonize these foods on the left, and I’m here to remind you that you can eat them if you want to.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Too many people are afraid to eat rice or pasta because “simple carbs” are touted as horrible for weight loss. But that’s just not true. Will it be easier to lose weight if you give up pasta for zucchini noodles? Yeah, probably.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But in this nightmare scenario, you’re also never eating any pasta, and that sounds terrible. If you love pasta, you should allow yourself to have it sometimes. It doesn’t need to be every single day, but you don’t need to sacrifice every meal you eat.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Look, if you love the foods on the right, more power to you.
