Day 5 down! Let me tell you, jumping jacks can be tricky, especially with asthma, but laughing while doing them doesn’t make them any easier! But there I was, watching the timer get closer to zero and I was laughing in amazement because I didn’t have to stop and use my inhaler for me to continue 😲In fact, I was able to get through ALL off the workouts today without using it!!! I’m less sore today, I feel more confident in the workouts, and I was actually looking forward to working out today 😄 I was almost disappointed when I got ready to do day 4 yesterday and saw it was an active rest day, but fortunately I got a small workout in and got caught up on some things around the house. I know the rest is important for your body, but I felt it was perfect timing for my mental mommy brain state as well so I didn’t feel like everything was behind 😅 So grateful for @chloe_t putting together her videos and sharing it so openly with others. 🌟 Insecurities 🌟 Insecurities...damn everyone has them, and they’d be lying if they said they don’t. Insecurities can range from so many different things and can be different for everyone. Whether it’s height, weight, hair, body shape, body mass...you name it. However ACTUALLY why should people be insecure or made to feel ashamed of their body? From personal experience I’ve been called “too slim” or told to “go and eat a burger”. Trust me if it was as easy as that then I would. Today I did a lot of low impact instead of hard ones cause I still feel weakness from last labor... but it’s ok cause I also did some exercises without difficulty and that’s new !!! Getting stronger everyday 4 months ago I started doing exercise to reactivate my body and start loosing weight . 6months after giving 2nd natural birth. Wasn’t taking it seriously till today. Doctor cleared me to continue the #chloeting2weekshred so here's day 3! I had been having massive and awful back spasms, so I went to see the doctor (over zoom! ) and now I'm on a magnesium supplement and have some muscle relaxers if it happens again. Can't really pinpoint what it is, but I'm so happy to be back to exercising the way I want! I also weighed in on Tuesday and saw a -.7 loss. Not what I wanted, but my body was also a little broken lol! Officially at 139lbs 🎉🎉🎉 my starting weight in January was 154 April 148lbs June 141lbs September 139lbs And now in a size 2 (I don’t want to get any lower ). These are just numbers and I’m not too focused on the scale. I’m seeing amazing results and changes all over my body. This journey has been a wild ride and it will continue to be I will never stop working out it’s really my stress reliever. So whoever told you that you can’t eat Pizza and Donuts plus lose weight is lying to you hahaha. Honestly everyone’s body is different and I also workout 6 days a week so that plays a great role in my weight loss. Know your body and your limits, but never let your limits discourage you from ever trying! For too long I let my schedule, responsibilities as a house wife and a mother, and my different body related restrictions keep me from trying or sticking with a consistent workout. Well I am done letting myself get in my own way! I am not failing as a wife, homemaker, or mother by taking an hour out of my day to workout. And yes, I have wrist issues, bad knees, and asthma, but you know what, there is no shame in doing the modified or low impact version of a workout! So what if you can’t mirror the instructor, there’s nothing wrong with that because something consistently is better than nothing! So any of you hesitant to start the #chloetingchallenge or any other workout plan, listen to me when I say that you can do this! I may have legs that feel like jello and muscles that I forgot existed are very sore, but it is going to be so worth it; plus in another week it’ll be that much easier to get through the workout. < KEEPING MY BODY AND HEALTH AND MIND SANE DURING QUARANTINE > Our daily lives have been turned upside down and none of us really know what to expect in the coming weeks. Life feels somewhat out of our control at the moment. Staying at home for such a prolonged period of time can pose a significant challenge to take care of our mental health and to remain physically active. While some of us are working remotely and have enough to keep busy, there are many who have a lot of time at hand like me who decide to use this time to keep mu brain and muscles active with any sort of activity. Here what I do to exercise during quarantine: 1. First the traditional options of exercise that don’t require any equipment. I go for a walk or run outside, maintaining proper social distancing of course. I also get some fresh air and exposure to natural light which helps enhance mood and energy levels, improves sleep and sleep quality, and gives your body a boost of natural Vitamin D. Thank to my walk partner @graciamontrado who keep supporting for a walk just to keep our mood positive while I’m feeling down. 2. Find some online workout videos to do or download a free workout app. Luckily I got time to try the @chloe_t 2 weeks abs workout. I never had any abs whole my life and I’m totally proud for what my body becomes right now. It’s important to realize we don’t need a gym, or any equipment, to stay active. Exercise does not have to resemble anything you would even do at a gym! I’ll outline ways to stay active without a gym or any gym equipment and explain how exercise does not always have to be the structured type of exercise we typically think about.
