Made the most of the half term after bootcamp this morning and went for a seafront walk and basked in the, albeit chilly, sunrise. This is going to be the extent of outdoor fun for the rest of this half term break now though as my partner (also works in education ) has been told to isolate until 5th November as a pupil has tested positive 🥴😣🤦‍♀️🤬 feeling the bitterness of public sector working and guidance to schools. Probably won't be long til I'm caught in the isolation net too at this rate. SQUAD STORIES 👑Featuring - Christine👑 I have always been overweight. A little background first... I was born in New Zealand and have been living in Perth for 8 years now... and I love it. I have been a yo-yo dieter my whole life and I have tried nearly every diet fad that came out. They all work in the beginning, but never lasted. Hence, the yo-yo. I have been losing and gaining weight my whole life and not really caring about what I put in my body. I have never been a gym junkie but in my 20’s, I loved aerobics classes and circuit style classes. This story starts in Oct 2017 when I was around 113kg and I decided I wanted to go on a cruise for my upcoming 50th birthday. I didn’t want to be seen in public in a bathing suit, so I decided I needed to do something about my obesity. I saw a facebook post about E-Fit bootcamps in the park and I messaged Erin asking a heap of questions - could I afford it? Did it fit in with work commitments? Was I going to enjoy it? I roped my friend into joining with me and we did our free trial classes. Shortly after starting, I decided to join in an 8 week challenge. This is what got me hooked - as I ended up being one of the winners! I loved the workouts in the park, I loved that I could take my daugther with me, I loved the laughs we all had, and I loved that I was part of this lovely group of like-minded ladies. And what is great, is that we have made small lifestyle changes that have made a huge impact on our health & wellbeing. Part of my membership offer was a PT session, and I could invite a friend. Erin agreed to let my husband join me in this, so hubby & I attend a 1hr PT session together every fortnight. Still going strong - and I love that we motivate each other, push each other and work hard together. I am blessed with the most supportive family who are very proud of me. Both my kids now work out at a gym, they are 21 and 18. Rachel used to work out with me at EFIT, and she was great motivation and fun to be with. During COVID, we did ‘family’ workouts at home all together - it was awesome! My biggest buzz is hearing that I am inspiration for my kids. ‼️CONTINUED IN COMMENTS‼️

I’d get in my head about it, worry that I wasn’t feeling great and I’d let myself down, not hit any PBs, get called out by the instructor because they might see I wasn’t pushing hard enough, or generally just feel slow or weak or not good enough, so then I just wouldn’t even show up, I sometimes wouldn’t train or commit to it because I was worried I wouldn’t be good enough 🤯 - Looking at it now it’s almost sounds ridiculous but it happens to a lot of people. - Clients sometimes won’t show up for a session, and when I’ve asked them why afterward, they’ve said they felt abit off, and like they couldn’t do their best. Sometimes they might say they’d go off the rails because they didn’t have a great start to the day so they went into F- it mode & inhaled the contents of their kitchen cupboard. - It’s important to try and get out of this mindset that progression is linear and you’re always going to smash a PB or have a great training session or else you’re a failure and there’s no point🙇🏽‍♀️ - Just showing up is what counts the most, and it’s often the hardest part. - No one cares if you don’t hit a pb, or you take a longer rest.. everyone’s too concerned about themselves for that😅you’re accountable for yourself yes, but we’re all human. Do what you CAN, get out of your head, and remember doing something is always better than not doing anything at all💯⚡️

HELLO MONDAY! 🙃 So I had a big case of the Sunday Scaries yesterday. The anxiety of this week was coming in hot 🥵 But I realized everything I was getting anxious about was all really good things (but I’m just really good at overthinking them into crazy scenarios ) I’m so lucky to say I’m busy with a career that I love and even if it does get stressful there’s still nothing else I’d rather be doing. So I’m going to put my grown up pants on, which happen to be leggings😛, and go after this week. Join me👊
