This piece was actually just about the part of not knowing how to love myself but I wanted to stick to my plan of unnecessarily long poems for this week, so I added few words to it and voila! Unnecessarily long poem 5. Also, a lot of times, we tell people to do this or be more of this and all that but we don't care or bother to know if they know or understand what we're telling them to do. There's a lot of quotes saying accept your body or yourself, love yourself more and so many other things like that. How do we expect people to do this things the "right way" when they have no idea what it is!!??? Because I mean, if they did, I don't think they'd be doing what they're doing that warranted the quote in the first place. Imagine telling someone who self harms or is self destructive to "become better" or "heal" or "love yourself" or "be happy" when they have no idea how to do it the way you intend. ✨Therapy Thursday ✨ . . - A therapy method may not work for everyone, heck, it might not even be successful again with the same person that it worked for before. . . - There need to be rules for disagreements/arguments. Even in war or an MMA match, there are rules to what can and can’t be done. . . - Relationships are a social contract that constantly change. People grow, change, and take on different roles. It’s important to address the contract and relationship frequently, so things aren’t being run by assumed roles that people get stuck in and people don’t get frustrated. . . - It’s your job to share what’s on your mind, it’s not your partners job to read your mind. . . - Learn to let go of the small things. If you get upset over something small, explore the bigger meaning and values to why you’re upset. If it’s something that’s not a dealbreaker, but something you find bothersome, ask yourself if it’s really the end of the world. . . - it takes 4 positive comments to recover from 1 negative comment . . - it takes 15 minutes for the limbic system to adjust to your partner when you’ve been away from them (like if you come home from work ) . . - When communicating, don’t use “you” statements about the other person, use unarguable things about yourself: sensations, feelings, what you want. Perfectionism isn’t about being perfect, it’s about “feeling” perfect in the doing. Hey, rinse and repeat for a few years and boom, you’ve got a whole faulty mental and emotional system in place; a strongly ingrained habit of striving for perfection in order to feel good (or at least less badly ). By just sitting with, acknowledging, your emotions without trying to “fix” or run away from them, you get to learn that it’s simply in their nature to be short-lived, to come and go quickly- once you recognize that they don’t have power over you if you give them no power! But if you always take action to reduce you emotion or distract yourself from them, you never get the chance to really learn why you are feeling what we’re feeling, what triggered it, what did you feel like needed to do be done immediately in that moment and why. Truth is, each time a painful emotion arises, the brain remembers that perfection striving leads to some emotional relief in the past, and so it “pushes” us toward that option in the present. The goal is not relief BUT release (from anything that binds you )! Don’t be pushed to be flawless be pushed by God’s faithfulness and into His presence knowing that He can heal you, trade sorrow for joy, mend your heart, bind your wounds, fill the voids, lift the heaviness, and so much more! When you lean into Him you can watch everything else opposed to Him leave from you.

I used to feel insecure in my own skin. I would cover up with loose clothes, try to avoid my appearance, and struggled on a day to day basis with thinking or speaking kindly of myself. And then, in just few months and with a few consistent lifestyle changes, I have seen amazing and drastic differences. •Differences in how I see myself. •Differences in how I think of myself. •Differences in how I speak to myself. •Differences in my priorities and my goals. It all started with a consistent morning routine and a commitment to myself to start each day pouring into my own cup, first. During that morning routine I prioritized pouring in to myself-physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. I found and stuck with an incredible workout program, shoutout to BOD, #MBF , and #MBFA , that taught me powerful and impactful moves, and I became much more active in a community that pushed me to hold myself accountable and gave me the motivation to keep showing up for myself, when I had none. It’s the little things, the small steps forward, and making the commitment to bettering myself that I only wish I would have made sooner, that has made all the difference. And this commitment is one I won’t go back on, because I am a happier and healthier me now than I have ever been. What’s holding you back? Teacher Truth Talk.... Virtual Teaching isn’t normal and it isn’t what I or anyone could have anticipated, planned, or prepared for... Last Week the effects of Virtual Teaching hit me HARD. I ended more nights in tears than I have in a long, long, time. And ultimately it came down to a few reasons... 1. I didn’t plan Year 2 to begin like this. 2. I didn’t want Year 2 to begin like this. 3. I loved Teaching... I do not even come close to liking Virtual Teaching. I miss my noisy classroom. I miss seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter and learning taking place. I miss the many, many hugs I got every single day. I miss the complete lack of personal space. I miss the family that was my classroom full of students who became my kiddos. And yet I have had to remind myself... this year IS different. It is overwhelming, it is hard, it is exhausting. But so is Teaching in general. I still have students who I care for like I would my own kiddos, even though I’ve never met them in person. I still have been challenged with many obstacles while trying to make learning meaningful, even through a screen. I am still learning and growing as an individual and a teacher. And I am still building relationships with my amazing, resilient, kind students who are going through similar struggles with virtual learning. I have realized that I need to accept this year for how it is and make every moment the best it can be regardless of the circumstances not being how I want them to be. I can’t control COVID-19. I can control how I move forward and teach my heart out anyway, because I am still Ms. White, 3rd Grade Teacher. And I do still have a class full of students who are my WHY in this profession. They are my reason and they are more than enough for me to want to keep going, and keep focusing on the good and finding the positives throughout this school year. So, here’s to becoming better while overcoming all that’s ahead for us this school year! We will get through this, one day at a time.🍎😄🙌🏻

I first tried to read this book a few years ago and I just couldn’t get into it. Fast-forward to about a month ago and it’s like I was reading it for the first time. It hit different this time around and I was able to pick up what the author was putting down. My first year of college, my dad gave me a yardstick. . .📏 . . “Whenever you’re going through a hard time, I want you to remember this yardstick. . .” . . In my head, of course being 18 years old, I’m like yeah okay...whatever. . . “If you see the yardstick as the length of your life, you will see how little time we have. And if you’re having a hard month or couple of months, that’s only about 2 inches on the yardstick.” . . He continued, “spend your time caring about what makes you happy, remember the best is always yet to come and don’t sweat the small stuff.” . . Up until this day, I still think about that damn yardstick (dad’s are always right... ). . . We spend so much time worrying about what other people would think, getting upset at someone for wronging us or worrying too much about our appearances. . . When, if you look at the big picture, these things do not matter. Life is way too short. . . The 3 major keys to life in my opinion; gratitude, forgiveness and faith. . . Keto Blackberry Cheesecake Bars For The Crust: 1-⅓ cup Almond Flour 2 tsp Coconut Flour 2 T Butter 2 tsp Water ⅛ cup Sweetener (I use swerve ) 1 tsp Vanilla For the Cream Cheese Layer: 8 oz Full Fat Cream Cheese 1 tsp Vanilla Extract ½ cup Powdered Sweetener (I use swerve ) 1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream 1 tsp. Gelatin For The Blackberry Topping: 2.5 cup fresh or frozen Blackberries 1 packet of Blackberry Pinapple Keto//OS NAT (optional, but recommended 😍 ) ¾ cup Water ⅔ cup Classic Sweetener (I use swerve ) 1 tsp. Lemon Juice 1 T Gelatin Keto Blackberry Cheesecake Bar Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all of the pie crust ingredients in a bowl until combined. Press into your 9×9 pan. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes until the edges just start to brown. Take out of the oven and let cool completely before mixing up the filling. To make the cream cheese layer, whip 1/2 cup of whipping cream in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, vanilla, powdered sweetener, and gelatin. Gently fold the whipped cream in with the cream cheese mixture, until thoroughly combined. Spread evenly in the bottom of the prepared and cooled crust, then place in the refrigerator to cool down while you make the blackberry layer. To make the blueberry layer, bring 1.5 cups of blackberries, the water, Classic, lemon juice, and gelatin to a boil in a medium saucepan. Stir well to eliminate clumps. Take off the heat and blend with an immersion blender or in your stand-along blender until smooth and there are no clumps. Stir in the remaining 1 cup of blackberries. Cool the blackberry topping to room temperature and mix in the Blackberry Pineapple ketones, then slowly pour it over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight to set completely – enjoy! Here’s one of the BIGGEST misconceptions surrounding manifestation❗️ “Think positively all day long and all of your dreams will come true.” Sound familiar? This is why it gets such a bad reputation because people believe that to manifest your wildest dreams, you just have to be positive 100% of the time… which realistically isn’t even possible. Of course, positivity and affirmations and meditation are all SUPER important, but those are simply amplifiers to the real inner work that needs to be done. In other words, when people believe that these are the ONLY components to manifestation, they need to, instead, realize this is only one piece to the puzzle. Meaning, we must do the deep subconscious work and healing in order for these manifestation practices to be in alignment with our soul. If we just slap on affirmations all day that say, “I am beautiful, I am loved, I am wealthy” but we have a deep subconscious belief that we are not worthy, these affirmations are useless. Because ultimately, your vibrational frequency is still at, “I am unworthy of love, beauty and wealth.” And it is law that whatever vibration you put out, you WILL get back in return. So how do we go about changing this problem? We MUST dig deep. We have to recognize what beliefs we are still deep in our subconscious mind that are creating doubt and feelings of being unworthy. 🥴 Did you hear growing up that second place was good, but it wasn’t the best when you ran the race? 💥 Were you constantly told that your outfit didn’t match? 👚🩳 Did you have friends that told you that things you said were “dorky” or “something a loser would say?” 🧎🏻♀️ As children, we are VERY impressionable.
