🙋🏼‍♀️We get focused on the results of our hard work in the gym. Weight lost, weight lifted, how are clothes fit and what we look like in the mirror. Maybe we get super focused on PR’s and performance! These are all just fine and it is normal to strive! That’s what goals are all about. 👁 Something to keep an eye out for is when we start to define our self worth by these measures and outcomes. 🙏If we notice our routine becoming stale, maybe we lose interest or start to feel burnt out it’s really important to focus on the other benefits of fitness: • working out helps regulate mood • it creates better heart health • it can manage blood pressure and other health metrics • it makes us stronger and more capable to do bad ass things ☀️We can see more benefits by: •adhering to a plan • seeking out a coach •practicing gratitude • focusing on recovery as much as the workout itself • getting sleep • hydrating •fueling to nourish ❤️What else can we enjoy through this mindset? •community • pump up music • positive vibes • energy LIFT ALL THE WEIGHTS, FEEL ALL THE BENEFITS 🥰 #somuchmoretogain #weightlifting #empoweringwomen #personaltrainer

Mix it UP Monday’s! *belated . Posted this to my story a handful of Monday’s ago but wanted to share a little something something. You don’t have to separate certain supplements. I personally like to drink water with lemon and I drink a lotttt of it so for everything else I try to limit the amount of water I consume. . Typically that means dry scooping and mixing my other supplements together. @mtnops BCAA’s and Enduro together is 🤤 which you could also do with preworkout if you don’t dry scoop that! I like to mix different flavor combos but so far citrus bliss and watermelon is the absolute best!!!!

Want an easy drill to prep yourself to squat? Try this one.⁠ ⁠ We use this drill to help people focus on spine position as they move into and out of deep hip flexion. By starting on all fours you take some of the postural load off of the spine which will allow you to focus on keeping your spine neutral through the whole movement.⁠ ⁠ Start on all 4s with your hands under your shoulders and your knees under, but slightly wider than your hips ⁠ Find a neutral spine position (slight arch in low back )⁠ Rock back, maintaining your neutral spine ⁠ Hold for a 2 count⁠ Rock forward over your hands, again maintaining your neutral spine⁠ Rock back and forth 2 times then pull your toes up so you are on the balls of your feet.⁠ On the next rock back transition from all fours into a low squat position while maintaining your neutral spine⁠ Hold the squat for several seconds and return to all 4s⁠ Repeat as prescribed⁠ ⁠ For more awesome stability exercises and 5 FREE mobility sessions check the LINK IN BIO⁠ ⁠ We used @pogamat to make this video

Today was such a good upper body session! We did AMRAP pull ups today and I got a PR of 6.25 reps! I really surprised myself here because I’ve been stuck at 4-5 for months so I’m really excited! We also did one of my fave core and upper body movements EVER. The dynamic plank to push up and loaded pull through. When done correctly you will feel your core light up on FIREEE with these. They’re great 🔥 We also did a 3 second eccentric barbell overhead press where I got a PR of 60 pounds 💪🏼 and finally a cable row and also face pulls! Today was such a good session and I’m feeling strong and confident!

Here’s what a full day of training looks like for me! Did a new complex of snatch to tempo snatch! Using the tempo snatch let’s you feel how everything is working. Making sure your body is rising at the same rate, your feet are driving through the floor, and almost forces you to achieve good extension. Worked from 175-215lbs. Had a miss at 215 but allowed me to know what I did wrong. If you aren’t failed during olympic lifts, you aren’t pushing yourself. Then did a 10 min EMOM of 2 snatches at 195LBS. Followed up by deficit snatch grip floating DL pulls at 315lbs X5. Ended with some front squats at 300lbs. 2 front squats and 1 pause squat. . .
