Back in time🙏🙏🙏 My coach all the time believed in me more than myself, I always played my part and worked very hard every single training as I started #weightlifting quite late close to my 19 yo, I always kept myself motivated by putting small tasks one by one, made myself proud when they've been achieved, after a while small tasks grown up into big dreams. Well, we got the news we didn’t want, but kind of expected. I was doing the half during the marathon weekend and I feel for everyone doing the dopey, who have been training so hard. The motivation is not quite the same for virtuals. I will still try to increase mileage since I am doing the Wine and Dine Virtual. But now I have to debate on the new virtuals because running here in the winter is not ideal for long distances. But we will see.

DON'T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS! THERE'S NO COMPARISON BETWEEN THE SUN AND THE MOON, THEY SHINE WHEN IT'S THEIR TIME! ................................................................................. I am guilty of comparison. I have definitely found myself comparing my body and progress to someone elses. When this happens, I can feel inspired, but most of the time I feel insecure. It can make me feel like I'm not doing enough, or I'm not working hard or fast enough. I often regret not starting sooner. Since I'm 36 yrs old and I just started lifting 2 years ago, I feel like I'm coming in late. So comparing myself to others can easily make me feel behind or even rushed. The next thing I know I'm completely feeling discouraged. That's why it is important for me to always remember that I am on my own journey. I haven't been lifting long (2yrs is not long in lifting years 😂 ), I'm up 20lbs, and building muscle and putting on healthy lean weight takes time! Body building doesn't happen over night... it takes years of consistency and commitment! Plus, slow progress is still progress!! The moment I stop worrying about what everyone else has accomplished, I finally see my own growth. Looking at pictures of myself and comparing my own body to itself, that's how I get encouraged and feel motivated! It lifts me up to see my hard work come through. Sure, there are people out there doing it better and faster then me, but it doesn't matter because this is my journey and I'm still kicking ass! (Read that twice ) 2.5 years ago I was at an all time low... And I mean real freaking low! Brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. But I've worked really hard everyday since to get to where I am now physically, mentally and emotionally!! Everyone of us has something to work on about ourselves or something that we can improve on! Sometimes that's hard to admit, but when we humble ourselves and we acknowledge it, it's amazing how good it feels when we start working towards improving that part of ourselves! I'm working towards having more confidence in myself and staying positive in the dark times of my life or even in the dark times of the world. I have an empath type personality where I feel drained or sad from the situations around me. I can also let how other people feel about me affect me deeply to my core. Which is a very vulnerable, dangerous place to be in because we can get hurt by the bad in people no matter how good we are to them! Unfortunately, I learned this lesson the hard way and got hurt a few times by people I let close to me. It made me shutdown, pull away from others, and become angry and bitter for a period of time. But I've grown tremendously from that experience and I've realized that I can't let the negativity of others around me bring me down or turn me into somebody that I'm not! I'm full of love and light and I want to love on people and be HAPPY FOR THEM! I don't want to hide in a hole where I stay angry and bitter. I want to make healthy relationships with people and be out in the world. That's why I'm also learning how to set boundaries for the first time in my life! Boundaries from others but also for myself. The more I work on myself the more I learn who I actually want to be, and to continue moving forward I need to surround myself with like minded individuals. I want to be more positive, forgiving, kind, thankful and full of joy, even in the dark times. But most importantly I need to be more confident in who I am! Love yourself always...
