Stressful thoughts can become addicting. For some of us, when we are used to being worried, it becomes nearly impossible to go any extended amount of time without being worried that we aren’t worried enough. Ok! Let's start is @1upnutrition challenge! It's day 3 and I've yet to start! So today I double workout of #chest and #legs #workout . I am still getting use to the machines and barbells. I primarily use dumbells, so at least I know form. I skipped abs, will do them later and went on the treadmill for a few minutes, but too exhausted to run. Por tanto obviamente cuando me di cuents que no podia flexionar la rodilla decidí darle descanso hasta que se mejore. ⚠️⚠️ . Ahora los aprendizajes son los siguientes: 1- Si tu no te cuidas NADIE te va a cuidar y las lesiones cuando se ignoran se extreman así que cuando sientas molestias utiliza otro muscle group!! 🤕🤕 . 2- En la vida cuando te encuentres adversidad no te rindas! Yo podía perfectamente irme para mi casita y no hacer nada. ⚜️⚜️ . 3- NO TE F* RINDAS tal vez hoy no pude hacer piernas como me tocaba pero algo si te aseguró desde que me sienta en SALUD eso WORKOUTS pendientes VAN porque las cosas aveces se postergan por razones ajenas a tu voluntad pero AQUI NO SE BARAJA. 🔥🔥 . 4- Aplica la adaptabilidad a tu vida! Si se fijan a mi me dolía cada vez que flexionaba al final de los videos por lo tanto hice una rutina donde no necesitaba flexionarlas a la hora de ejecutar el movimiento.💥💥 . ‼️My Eating Disorder 🤭‼️ . A lot of you don’t know this about me but I used to struggle with bulimia. It’s started in Highschool with feeling the need to be “healthy” and fit in. I never realized how real of a problem it was til last year. . During prep last year I cheated a lot (like multiple times a week ) on the diet. I would binge eat and the purge my food thinking I could get shredded and still enjoy food. In reality I was severely damaging my health and it prohibited me from getting as shredded as I could’ve/should’ve been. . That’s why this year has not just been redemption to beat my last years physique but to beat my eating disorder. I opened up to my coach @bradyoakeyfitness last year and he’s helped to keep me accountable. I’m sooo proud of myself that since last year JUNE 30th, I have not purged food. To be honest there have been plenty of times I’ve had to resist the urge but I haven’t given in. . My advice: 1. If you struggle with binge eating, bulimia, anorexia, or anything similar YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Especially in the fitness community it is a lot more common than you’d think. 2. Understand that it’s not physically and mentally healthy. You may think it’s going to “help” but at what cost?? Your health and happiness... 3. Find the support you need. Whether from one person or multiple. Family, friends, a coach, whoever you feel can open up to to help you plan and support you through the journey to recovery. I know it can be embarrassing but the people who care for you will always want yo help and support you. 5. Just do it. It may take some time and you may slip up. But no one is perfect and take the time to heal and be happy. I can’t say I’m 100% sure that I have beaten my eating disorder but I’m sure that I’m way better and going to continue becoming better. . If you read all this, congratulations. But I just wanted to be real and open about my fitness journey. Shoulder Exercises ⚒ ⠀⠀ For some of you like myself you have a dominant and strong back compared to your shoulders. So for an exercise such as the first video which is a “Bent Over Lateral Raise” here’s some food for thought. ⠀⠀ When you start using a lot heavier weight you begin to use your back to pull the weight and not as much your shoulders. That’s fine if you want to hit your back but you aren’t engaging as much with shoulders, hence why I’m literally only using 15lb dumbbells. ⠀⠀ Second movement is a standard “Dumbbell Shoulder Press” except you are standing vs more commonly being seated. I find that the back support along with my feet planted on the ground I use both to push off and help lift the heavier weight. This pic was taken the day I started my #couchto5k ...16th June 2020. I went out at 6am so that I wasn't seen...and I wore 'normal' clothes so that if I did happen to see someone I could walk inconspicuously! I was so embarrassed and running for 60 seconds wiped me out!!😵 I wish I could tell her to keep going, not give a crap what people thought and just go for it!! ❤️ 💪👊 A few months on I am running 5-6k at least 4 times a week, I am NOT quick, and I still ache ALOT every time but I absolutely love it!! 😍🏃‍♀️ I'm also 15lb down and have raised £200 for #breastcancernow running #100k in October! 3 THINGS YOU DONT NEED TO DO TO LOSE FAT There’s plenty of advice out there on the subject of how to lose weight. While shedding unwanted body fat often isn’t easy, the actual steps you need to take are pretty simple. It’s nowhere near as complicated as some would have you believe. Your overall food choices are what makes the biggest difference, and you can lose fat with varying amounts of carbs in your diet. ❌YOU DONT HAVE TO FAST OR SKIP MEALS Intermittent fasting has become quite popular. But once again, it’s overall calorie intake that makes the biggest difference, and you can still drop fat with a wide variety of meal timing patterns. To lose body fat, stick to the basics and what’s been proven time and time again: a proper nutritious diet and consistent strength training. It might not be the fastest and easiest route, but it works. Stop wasting time and energy trying to get quick results with fads and fancy shit. 🏆- How I made fitness a Priority in my life!!!! - I wasn’t always the super fit guy that went to the Gym and was dedicated to living a healthier life. - In reality I was the complete opposite. I was eating pre-cooked meals, fast food, a lot of fried food, and snacks all day long. - I know many of you struggle with going to the gym and eating healthy. - I was over weight and didn’t like the way I looked when I would see pictures of myself. Easy Healthy Soup Recipe 🍁🍂 . Okay it doesn’t get much easier than this! Nothing fancy, just simple and basic chicken or turkey soup recipe! . What you’ll need ⤵️ ▫️1lbs chicken or turkey (raw ) OR approx 12-15 ounces cooked (I used leftover thanksgiving turkey - can also get those roasted chickens from the store and peel away the skin ) ▫️2-4 cups Carrots, celery, white onion (depending how much you like your vegetables 🥕 ). I didn’t add any noodles/rice to mine so I added TONS of veggies. ▫️6-8cups chicken stock ▫️Optional: cooked Pasta noodles/rice/quinoa ▫️Salt, Pepper, and any seasonings you’d like - I topped with @spicydevilco EBTB seasoning. . Here’s what you do ⤵️ ▫️Cook chicken or turkey to your preference. You can use a slow cooker and cook on low in water for 4 hours to get a nice and shredded. Set aside. Or if it’s already pre made just skip this step! ▫️Pan fry vegetables on the stove until they are a little bit soft (not over cooked ). ▫️ Add chicken broth, vegetables, chicken/turkey, salt and pepper to your instant pot. Pressure cook for 5 minutes and do a 5 min slow release min. ** if you don’t have an instant pot just add all ingredients in a big pot on the stove and cook until veggies have softened. ▫️Optional: Add in cooked rice or pasta to add more volume or carbs. ▫️That’s it! .
